Doha: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on a Hamas negotiating delegation in Qatar, asserting that the pursuit of a terrorism policy will ultimately fail to achieve its intended goals.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan made a statement on social media criticizing the Israeli government’s actions, particularly targeting the administration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He accused the Israeli leadership of having lost its rationality and attempting to escalate the conflict and destabilize the regional situation.
Erdogan emphasized that the attack represented a violation of international law and an infringement on Qatar’s sovereignty. He expressed solidarity with Qatar, describing it as a sisterly nation, and criticized the act for endangering its security and safety.
The Turkish president reiterated his country’s unwavering support for Palestine and Qatar, highlighting Turkey’s commitment as an ally and strategic partner. Erdogan stressed Turkey’s determination to oppose what he described as Israel’s arrogance, which he claims threatens to destabilize the region further. He concluded by affirming Turkey’s dedication to defending peace, international law, and the freedom of the Palestinian people.
