Samsun: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has asserted that Turkey has successfully shielded its citizens from the regional conflicts and wars.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s efforts to maintain stability during a meeting with young people in Samsun province. He underscored the importance of overcoming challenges facing the Islamic world and highlighted Turkey’s proactive role in the region.

Erdogan mentioned the formation of the ‘Mecca Alliance’ with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, aimed at strengthening bonds within the Islamic world. He expressed optimism about positive developments and success in regional collaboration. Addressing the youth, he emphasized their future role in leading Turkey and carrying the trust of millions who look to Turkey for hope.

The president also highlighted the government’s efforts to empower young people by lowering the minimum age for political candidacy and providing support across various sectors. In response to a question on eliminating terrorism, Erdogan noted the significant progress made in southeastern and eastern Anatolia, with a focus on establishing peace and tranquility.

Erdogan reiterated his stance that “the world is bigger than five countries” and called for a more just global order. He pointed to ongoing issues in regions like the Strait of Hormuz and the wider Gulf, stressing the need for addressing these challenges to achieve a fairer world.
