Brussels:The European Union has highlighted the critical importance of safeguarding maritime security and ensuring the freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait, aligning with international law.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Callas, stated that the maritime defense operation (ASPDIS) will persist in its efforts to uphold navigation freedom and protect maritime transport along with the lives of seafarers.

The European Union has also condemned the threats and attacks on civilian and commercial vessels, identifying these actions as threats to regional security and international trade.
