Faihan and Al-Amiri Confirm Support for Integrity and Judiciary Efforts in Combating Corruption

Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adnan Faihan, and Secretary-General of Badr Organization, Hadi Al-Amiri, confirmed their support on Monday for the efforts of the Integrity Commission and the judiciary in combating corruption and protecting public funds.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated in a statement that "First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adnan Faihan, met with the Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi Al-Amiri. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the national political scene and a number of priority issues at this stage, most notably supporting the efforts of the Integrity Commission and the judiciary in combating corruption, recovering stolen funds, protecting public money, and safeguarding the nation's resources."

The statement further elaborated that both sides stressed the need to complete the cabinet in a way that enhances the efficiency of government performance and accelerates the implementation of the government program. Emphasis was placed on the importance of raising the legislative and oversight roles of the House of Representatives during the new legislative session. This approach aims to consolidate the principles of transparency and the rule of law, while strengthening the system of integrity and accountability. The conversation highlighted the importance of unifying positions among political forces and prioritizing the supreme national interest to contribute to consolidating stability, supporting development paths, and enhancing the ability of state institutions to meet the aspirations of citizens.
