Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, has conveyed his congratulations to the Iraqi people on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the modern Iraqi state.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Faihan, through a statement from his media office, expressed his deepest congratulations to the citizens of Iraq. He recalled the sacrifices made by Iraqi men and women in maintaining the country’s sovereignty and unity, as well as in the establishment of its institutions.
Faihan emphasized that the anniversary serves as a reminder to reinforce the state of institutions and uphold the rule of law. He highlighted the importance of safeguarding national decision-making and leveraging Iraq’s resources and capabilities for development, stability, and prosperity.
The First Deputy Speaker underscored the role of the Parliament in supporting the process of state-building through legislative and oversight functions. He stressed that the upcoming period necessitates a collective effort and the prioritization of national interests to foster a resilient, stable, and prosperous Iraq.
In his message, Faihan wished for a future of security, stability, and prosperity for the Iraqi people, while asking for divine protection over Iraq and its citizens, and the continuation of its glory, unity, and sovereignty.
