Faiq Zaidan and Chaldean Church Patriarch Discuss Enhancing Iraqi Unity


Baghdad: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, recently engaged in discussions with His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Paulos III Nona, the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world, to explore strategies aimed at bolstering civil peace and fostering the unity of Iraqi society.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on consolidating the principles of citizenship and safeguarding societal diversity. Both leaders emphasized the critical role of collaboration between religious and official institutions to support civil peace efforts across Iraq. The Supreme Judicial Council issued a statement highlighting that Zaidan welcomed Patriarch Mar Paulos III Nona and his delegation, extending congratulations on his new leadership role within the Chaldean Church. Zaidan expressed his hopes for the Patriarch’s success in advancing his religious and humanitarian objectives.
