Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi engaged in discussions over the recent negotiations between Tehran and Washington concerning the Iranian nuclear program, held in the Sultanate of Oman.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, officials from the Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that the conversation between the two ministers centered on the talks between Iranian and American representatives in Oman. This dialogue took place during a phone call last night.
The initial round of indirect negotiations between the United States and Iran occurred last Saturday in Muscat, the capital of Oman, aiming for a resolution on Tehran’s nuclear issue. A second round of talks is scheduled for the following week.
The discussions in Oman had the US delegation led by Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, while Abbas Araghchi represented Iran.
