Baghdad: The Acting Minister of Finance and Planning, Faleh al-Sari, engaged in discussions with the Governor of Baghdad, Engineer Atwan al-Atwani, focusing on the capital’s budget allocations for the upcoming year 2027. The meeting, held on Thursday, aimed at addressing key fiscal matters impacting the governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions also delved into mechanisms for supporting vital projects, ensuring the availability of necessary funding to expedite work, and improving services for citizens in Baghdad. Both officials stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation to ensure the smooth flow of funding, which is crucial for meeting the needs of priority projects in the region.
