Baghdad: Finance Minister Faleh Sari affirmed that supporting the security forces in their various formations and enhancing their readiness represents a national priority.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Finance stated that Finance Minister Faleh Sari met with the Counter-Terrorism Service Chief, Lieutenant General Zaid Hawshi, to review the Service’s work and discuss coordination with the Ministry of Finance regarding its operational requirements.

During the meeting, Sari highlighted that supporting the security forces and enhancing their readiness is crucial, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to ensuring these forces can perform their duties efficiently. He lauded the Counter-Terrorism Service for its efforts in addressing terrorist threats and noted that the sacrifices made by the security forces are worthy of pride and continued support.

Lieutenant General Zaid Hawshi, on his part, discussed the primary objectives and developments within the Counter-Terrorism Service. He expressed
gratitude for the Ministry of Finance’s cooperation and its dedication to fulfilling the operational needs of the security institutions.
