Baghdad: The Minister of Finance affirmed to the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service that supporting the security forces and enhancing their readiness is a national priority. Finance Minister Faleh Sari met with the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Zaid Hoshi, to discuss the service’s operations and coordination with the Ministry of Finance regarding its operational requirements.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated in a press release that during the meeting, the minister emphasized that “supporting the security forces in all their formations and enhancing their readiness is a national priority,” affirming the ministry’s commitment to providing them with the necessary support to ensure the continued efficient performance of their duties. He praised the Counter-Terrorism Service’s role and efforts in confronting terrorist threats, stressing that “the sacrifices made by the security forces are a source of pride and honor, and necessitate continued support and empowerment to fulfill their responsibilities.”
For his part, the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service reviewed the most prominent areas of work and development within the service, expressing his appreciation for the Ministry of Finance’s cooperation and its commitment to providing the necessary resources for the security institutions.
