Baghdad:Finance Minister Faleh Sari expressed that the completion of national sovereignty would enhance the state’s ability to protect its resources and manage its wealth.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Sari emphasized that National Sovereignty Day represents the culmination of Iraq’s efforts to consolidate state sovereignty and independence in national decision-making. This milestone provides a foundation for a safer, more stable, and prosperous Iraq.

Sari further explained that achieving full sovereignty enhances the state’s capacity to protect its resources, manage its wealth, and regulate its revenues. This, in turn, helps safeguard public funds and direct them towards supporting state institutions, development, and public services, while ensuring adherence to the constitution and the law.

He remarked, “Today, as we witness this historic step, we move forward with an Iraq that is becoming more firmly established as a state, more confident in its future and prouder of its people.”
