Baghdad:Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, chairman of the Border Ports Commission, emphasized that Iraq’s sovereignty was preserved through sacrifices and the determination of the Iraqi people.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Waeli highlighted the significance of Iraqi Sovereignty Day, reflecting on the individuals who have contributed to Iraq’s history with their sacrifices. He praised the martyrs who defended the nation’s land, dignity, and independence in decision-making.

He reaffirmed the commitment to maintaining Iraq’s freedom and pride, ensuring that the national flag remains a symbol of these values and that decision-making power stays with the people.

Al-Waeli concluded with a tribute, expressing wishes for divine mercy for Iraq’s martyrs and protection for its people and land.
