Erbil: A fire broke out Sunday evening in an apartment in a residential complex in Erbil, and civil defense teams were able to bring it under control.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erbil Civil Defense spokesman Shakhwan Saeed announced that the fire was extinguished without any injuries. He indicated that five people who were inside the apartment where the fire started were rescued and taken to the hospital.

The complex is located on 120 Meter Street in Erbil.
