London: Five countries-Australia, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, and Britain-have voiced strong condemnation against the Israeli Security Cabinet’s recent decision to initiate a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip aimed at reoccupying the region and displacing its population to the south.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the foreign ministers of these countries issued a joint statement asserting that the plans announced by the Israeli government pose a threat to violate international humanitarian law. The international community is urged to consider the humanitarian implications of such actions.

The Israeli Security and Political Affairs Cabinet, commonly referred to as the Cabinet, gave approval on Friday for a plan to reoccupy the Gaza Strip. This initiative involves expanding military control over the area and displacing its approximately 2.4 million residents. The decision has sparked significant international concern and calls for restraint.
