Baghdad: The Head of the Iraqi Football Federation, Adnan Darjal, congratulated the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate on the successful elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Football Federation read: “On behalf of the entire Federation, President Adnan Darjal extends his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate on the successful completion of its 23rd board elections and the election of its Head, Khalid Jassim.”

The Federation Head added: “I wish the members of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate’s board every success after the successful completion of their elections in a truly democratic manner.”

He added: “Our colleagues have succeeded in their union work, achieving significant progress through strategic planning. They have been able to solidify the image of the Iraqi journalist on the international stage through freedom of expression and the dissemination of information.”

He concluded: “I can only congratulate all journalists on the successful completion of the elections for candidates to serve in this esteemed union, which boasts a dedicated general assembly filled with distinguished figures and highly qualified individuals.”
