For the first time in 14 years, Iraq is preparing to preside over the session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization

Baghdad / NINA /- The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, met with the Director General of the Arab Labor Organization, Fayez Al-Mutairi, on the sidelines of the 98th session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization in Cairo, which begins its work on Sunday.

During the meeting, “Iraq’s willingness to chair the organization’s board of directors session was discussed for the first time in (14) years, while the minister expressed Iraq’s readiness to chair the organization’s session for Arab cooperation with regard to social affairs.”

It was agreed that technical experts would visit Iraq to give various lectures and to hold training courses for the ministry’s cadres at a rate of 3 courses per year under the supervision of the Arab Labor Organization.

For his part, Al-Mutairi expressed his “full support for Iraq in the issues raised and his welcome for Arab cooperation to advance the reality of social services for the member states of the organization.”/ End
