Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein welcomed Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsevilev in Baghdad today. The meeting underscored the importance of revitalizing the Iraqi-Russian Joint Committee to address mutual interests and foster stronger bilateral relations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement highlighting the discussions between the two officials. The dialogue focused on enhancing collaboration between Iraqi and Russian institutions, with an emphasis on overcoming existing barriers to cooperation. Both parties reviewed the increasing trade exchange levels, indicating a positive trajectory in economic relations.
