Cairo: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, held discussions today with Philippe Lazzarini, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). This meeting occurred on the sidelines of the Council of the Arab League’s ministerial-level meetings during its 164th regular session.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement highlighting that the discussions focused on the humanitarian conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories. Particular attention was given to the current developments in the Gaza Strip and the broader region. The meeting also covered the efforts undertaken by UNRWA and its staff in providing essential support and assistance to Palestinian citizens.
