Berlin: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met with German Deputy Foreign Minister Geza Andreas von Geyr to discuss bilateral relations between Iraq and Germany and ways to develop and enhance them in various fields.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the meeting in Berlin focused on developments in the region and strategies to reach solutions that contribute to containing crises and avoiding the repercussions of their continuation. The discussion also covered the status of German forces operating in Iraq, particularly in light of the end of the international coalition’s mandate at the end of September.

The meeting explored prospects for future cooperation and coordination between Iraq and Germany. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued communication and joint coordination, which is seen as essential for strengthening Iraqi-German relations and supporting the common interests of both countries.
