Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the credentials of seven newly appointed ambassadors to Iraq on Tuesday.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that ‘Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the credentials of seven newly appointed ambassadors to the Republic of Iraq, meeting with each of them individually at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.’

The list of ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Iraq includes the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, Jiraporn Jirampaikool; the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, Peter Nilsson; the Ambassador of Canada, Juliette Gundy; the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama, Jos© Ulises Lescure; the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus, Anatoly Glaz; the Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala, Jorge Rafael Archela; and the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia, Ingrid Amer.

“The Minister welcomed the new ambassadors, wishing them success in carrying out their diplomatic duties and emphasizing the Republic of Iraq’s keenness to strengthen its bilateral relations with their countries and develop prospects for joint cooperation in various fields, in a way that serves mutual interests,” according to the statement.
