Cairo: The Head of the Iraqi delegation, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, participated in the tenth meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with international action to confront illegal Israeli policies and measures in the occupied city of Al-Quds.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated in a statement: “The meeting was held in one of the halls of the Iraqi annex at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on the sidelines of the (164) session of the Council of the Arab League at the level of Foreign Ministers.”

The meeting was chaired by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with the participation of Iraq, as the current chairman of the Arab Summit, along with Tunisia, Algeria, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Palestine, Qatar, and Morocco, and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

The meeting concluded with the issuance of a final statement that included Arab positions and visions regarding the illegal practices of the Israeli entity in Al-Quds, and emphasized the continuation of joint efforts to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
