Baghdad: Al-Karkh Anti-Crime Department announced the arrest of two suspects for the murder of a woman and her daughter in Al-Muheet area, north of the capital, Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad Karkh Police Command stated in an official statement early Thursday morning that the crime was committed for the purpose of robbery, and the perpetrators attempted to conceal their traces by setting fire to the victims’ home.

The statement added that the competent authorities are continuing to complete the investigative procedures against the two suspects, in preparation for their presentation to the judiciary to receive their punishment in accordance with the law.
