Riyadh: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, and Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, emphasized the urgent need to cease military operations and pursue peaceful solutions to ongoing crises in the region. This call to action was made during their meeting on the sidelines of the Foreign Ministers’ meetings of Arab and Islamic countries in Riyadh.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement detailing the discussions between Hussein and Fidan, highlighting the focus on strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey. The dialogue addressed ways to enhance cooperation across various fields to benefit both nations and their citizens. The ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, underscoring the importance of ongoing dialogue and coordination to bolster security and stability in the region.

The statement further revealed that the ministers expressed significant concern over t
he military escalation in Gaza and Lebanon, noting its severe humanitarian impact on civilians. They jointly stressed the necessity of halting military actions and finding peaceful resolutions to these crises.
