Maysan: The Maysan Governorate Police Command announced the arrest of a foreign national in his possession of a quantity of narcotic substances during a search operation at one of the governorate’s external checkpoints.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated that detachments from the External Checkpoints Department were able to apprehend the suspect in his possession of eight small bags containing hashish, after subjecting him to a thorough search as he passed through the checkpoint.

The police command indicated that the suspect was handed over to the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Maysan to take the necessary legal action against him.
