Tehran: France announced on Thursday the evacuation of its diplomatic staff working at its embassy in the Iranian capital, Tehran, due to escalating security concerns.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the official Iranian news agency, Fars, reported that the French embassy in Tehran was evacuated against the backdrop of recent regional tensions. No official statement has yet been issued regarding this news.

For approximately two weeks, the United States has been launching successive waves of strikes inside Iran, while Tehran has carried out attacks on US ships, facilities, and military bases in several countries in the region. This comes despite Washington and Tehran signing a memorandum of understanding on June 18th that included a ceasefire and the commencement of negotiations to reach a broader agreement.
