Istanbul:Trabzonspor of Turkey fell to Freiburg of Germany by a single goal, in the match that took place between them on Thursday evening, as part of the third round of the league stage of the Europa League.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the German team decided the outcome of the match early, after Lukas Kübler managed to score the only goal of the match in the 14th minute, so Freiburg came out with the three points, and stopped the Turkish team’s progress in the competition.

Trabzonspor had started their campaign in the tournament in a remarkable way, after defeating KuPS 4-2, then beating Scottish side Hearts 2-0, before suffering their first defeat against Freiburg. On the other hand, Freiburg returned to winning ways after securing their second victory in the tournament, having previously defeated Czech side Jablonec 3-2, while suffering a 3-0 defeat to Monaco in the second round.
