Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will hold a tripartite summit on Monday afternoon with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, and Jordanian King Abdullah II regarding the situation in Gaza. This comes a day after Macron’s arrival in Cairo for his fourth visit to Egypt.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the French President will begin his activities by meeting with El-Sisi at the presidential palace, where economic and cultural agreements will be signed between the two countries. The Gaza war will occupy a significant part of the talks during the tripartite summit, in addition to the crises in Libya and Sudan, and the situations in Lebanon and Syria.

Macron is scheduled to visit El-Arish tomorrow, Tuesday, to affirm his continued support for the ceasefire in Gaza, since it was violated ten days ago. There, he will meet with humanitarian organizations and be accompanied by a delegation of French humanitarian non-governmental organizations.

The French presidency stated that Cairo was an important partner of France during the Gaza war and supported the humanitarian plan, particularly in Egyptian hospitals. The French helicopter carrier “Dixmude” was stationed in El-Arish, supporting Egypt’s efforts to transport the wounded and victims of the war in Gaza and to supply medicine.

In addition, humanitarian organizations called on Macron to head to Rafah to push for the entry of humanitarian aid, which Israel is obstructing.
