Basra: Security forces have dismantled a gang involved in fraud and swindling citizens in Basra. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Intelligence and Security Directorate stated in a press release that its detachments, in cooperation with a detachment from the National Security Service, arrested a gang in the Al-Jazair area that was carrying out fraud and swindling operations against citizens.

The directorate explained that the gang was deceiving citizens with false commercial and official promises in exchange for money. It noted that the accused were handed over to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures against them.
