Diyala: A security force has overthrown a gang that deals in weapons in Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Haitham Al-Shammari, Director of Media for Diyala Police, reported that a security force from Diyala Police and Combating Organized Crime successfully apprehended two members of a gang involved in weapons trade. The operation was based on intelligence information, leading to the seizure of a BKC machine gun in their possession.

Brigadier General Al-Shammari further informed that all legal measures have been taken against the arrested individuals. They have been handed over to the competent authority for further action.
