Hilla: A gang specializing in stealing mobile phones from Arbaeen pilgrims was arrested west of Hilla. A force from the Abi Gharq police station successfully apprehended a group of four women on Saturday. These women were involved in the theft of mobile phones from pilgrims attending the Arbaeen observance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babil Police Media Director, Colonel Ammar al-Shammari, stated that the police had received multiple reports of thefts. In response to these reports, an ambush was strategically set up in the Abi Gharq district, west of Hilla, which led to the arrest of the gang.

Colonel al-Shammari further mentioned that the accused women have been transferred to the relevant authorities for further investigation. The stolen mobile phones were also confiscated during the operation.
