Baghdad: The General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage, in collaboration with the Education and Public Relations Department of the Federal Integrity Commission, recently organized an awareness lecture titled “Developing a Culture of Integrity and Reporting Corruption.” This event was part of a broader campaign initiated by the Prime Minister aimed at combating corruption. The session saw participation from key figures, including Ali Obeid Shalgham, the Head of the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the lecture was conducted by Ahmed Fadel Hussein, an employee of the Federal Integrity Commission. He addressed essential components of fostering a culture of integrity, highlighted mechanisms for reporting corruption, and stressed the importance of adhering to the code of conduct for public employees. This adherence, as he explained, plays a crucial role in upholding values of responsibility and accountability, contributing to transparency, and fostering a robust institutional work environment.

Ali Obeid Shalgham, in his remarks, underscored the significance of cultivating a culture of integrity as a cornerstone for enhancing institutional performance. He noted that when employees are aware of their rights and duties and commit to laws and administrative regulations, it bolsters transparency and accountability, safeguards public funds, and increases public trust in government institutions.
