Karbala: The Governor of Karbala, Nassif Al-Khattabi, engaged in discussions with the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abdul Rahim Sadati, regarding the situation of Iranian pilgrims in the province. The meeting focused on the arrangements and conditions faced by the pilgrims who travel through Karbala.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions also encompassed joint cooperation in managing million-man pilgrimages and the reception of Iranian pilgrims. This has become particularly significant as Iranian pilgrims use Iraq and the holy Karbala province as a land corridor, following the suspension of air traffic.
The Iranian Consul expressed gratitude to the Governor of Karbala for the support and services provided to Iranian pilgrims annually. He acknowledged the province’s efforts in receiving pilgrims and offering them essential services during their visits.
