Najaf: The office of Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani has expressed its hope that Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei will be successful in serving the Iranian people. The statement comes as part of a commemoration of the anniversary of the passing of the late leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the office released a statement that read: "As we commemorate the anniversary of the passing of the late leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may God have mercy on him), we pray for his esteemed successor (may God protect him) to be granted success and guidance in serving the great Iranian people, repelling the evil of those who seek to harm them, and preserving national unity and harmony." The statement underscores the hope for continued leadership that prioritizes the well-being and unity of the Iranian nation.
