Baghdad: The Supreme Hajj and Umrah Authority has denied setting August 15 as the date for the electronic Hajj lottery. The Authority urged citizens to rely on its official sources for accurate information regarding the process.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority released a statement confirming that the date for the lottery has not been determined. It assured that the official date and mechanism for conducting the electronic lottery will be announced through its official channels in due course.

The Authority also mentioned that the process for modifying application forms and submitting family reunification requests will continue until the end of tomorrow, Sunday. It emphasized the importance of citizens obtaining information from its official website and verified social media pages, warning against being misled by fake pages that aim to generate engagement.
