Baghdad: The Civil Defense Directorate announced on Saturday that it had extinguished a fire that broke out on the highway in the Al-Adel neighborhood, west of Baghdad. In a statement, the directorate said, "Civil Defense teams extinguished a fire that broke out in a fuel tanker following a rollover accident on the highway in the Al-Adel neighborhood, west of Baghdad, without any casualties."
According to National Iraqi News Agency, four specialized firefighting teams were dispatched immediately to the scene upon receiving the report. The teams successfully contained and extinguished the fire with high precision, preventing its spread and any loss of life.
The statement also noted that after completing the control and cooling operations, the relevant teams began a campaign to clean the highway and remove debris from the accident to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safe reopening of the road to vehicles.
