Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, recently engaged in discussions with Kirkuk Governor Mohammed Saman Agha concerning the province’s situation, challenges, and strategies to enhance stability and promote peaceful coexistence among its communities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governor expressed the Kirkuk administration’s commitment to securing entitlements for the province and delivering optimal services to its citizens, with a focus on the critical energy sector, including electricity and fuel. Hamoudi highlighted Kirkuk as a model of Iraqi diversity, underscoring the necessity of maintaining its national identity to ensure stability and coexistence. He stressed the importance of partnership and justice in managing Kirkuk’s affairs and called for support for the local government’s efforts. Hamoudi also pointed out that Kirkuk’s strategic location, history, diversity, and natural resources position it as a potential contributor to economic development. He emphasized the need to bolster Kirkuk’s capabilities to enhance services, infrastructure, and job opportunities, which would positively impact the lives of its residents.
