Tehran: Iranian state media announced that Hassan Khomeini has assumed command of the war operations room, succeeding Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed during the US and Israeli airstrikes on Tehran early Saturday morning.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a related development, Iranian television broadcast the ceremony of changing the flag at the shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him) and raising the flag of mourning and vengeance on the holy dome in the city of Qom.
