Baghdad: Health Minister Abdul Hussein al-Moussawi inspected the level of healthcare services provided to patients at the Iraqi-Korean Specialized Critical Care Hospital in Baghdad's Medical City on Saturday evening. He toured various departments, accompanied by Dr. Hassan al-Tamimi, Director General of the Medical City Department.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the tour included the emergency, surgery, internal medicine, pharmacy, and laboratory departments. The minister reviewed the services provided and the departments' needs. He also met with patients and their families, listened to their feedback, and emphasized the importance of addressing their concerns and adhering to established regulations and guidelines.

The minister commended the efforts of the hospital's medical, nursing, and administrative staff, praising their role in providing healthcare to patients.

The hospital, which opened on November 16, 2024, is the first of its kind in Iraq, with a capacity of 74 beds. It includes three operating rooms, a cardiac and cerebral catheterization center, and more than 2,250 medical devices, in addition to advanced endoscopy equipment, 17 dialysis machines, two recovery and isolation wards, a laboratory, a pharmacy, a blood bank, and CT, MRI, and X-ray machines.
