Baghdad:Speaker of the House of Representatives, Heibat al-Halbousi, and the leader of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, have stressed the urgency of finalizing discussions on the national budget and proceeding with a vote.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the office of Parliament Speaker Heibat al-Halbousi released a statement indicating that he met with Ammar al-Hakim, leader of the National Wisdom Movement, on Tuesday. The meeting centered on the current political landscape in the country.

The statement further elaborated that al-Halbousi and al-Hakim discussed legislative priorities and issues impacting citizens’ needs. A significant focus was placed on the general budget, with both leaders underscoring the importance of expediting its review and approval to advance service-oriented and developmental initiatives.

Additionally, al-Halbousi and al-Hakim highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation between the legislative and executive branches. They also expressed their support for the government’s endeavors to fulfill its official agenda.
