High-Level Delegation Reviews Al-Shaib Border Procedures for Arbaeen Pilgrims

Baghdad: A high-level official delegation was briefed on Wednesday on the procedures and preparations made to facilitate the entry of Arbaeen pilgrims through the Al-Shaib border crossing in Maysan Governorate. The delegation included the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Million-Person Pilgrimages, Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi; the Head of the Border Ports Authority, Omar al-Waeli; and the Head of the Supreme Service Committee for Million-Person Pilgrimages, Deputy Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Ali Razouqi. They were accompanied by the heads of the relevant service, security, and technical committees.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the visit was a continuation of field tours to monitor the latest service, organizational, and security preparations. The delegation aimed to review the mechanisms for receiving pilgrims and ensure their smooth entry into Iraq through the border crossing.
