Erbil:A high-level security delegation convened with the Kurdistan Region’s Interior Minister, Rebar Ahmed, to deliberate on mutual interests concerning security and coordination.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions emphasized border security, combating narcotics, and bolstering intelligence cooperation.
The delegation was composed of several key figures, including the Commander of Border Forces, Lieutenant General (Legal) Mohammed Abdul-Wahab Sukkar, the Secretary-General of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Head of the Border Crossings Commission, the Interior Ministry’s Undersecretary for Intelligence Affairs, and the Director of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs.
Attendees also included the Commander of the First Border Zone and several commanders of border brigades within the Kurdistan Region’s administrative boundaries. The meeting aimed to develop mechanisms to enhance cooperation and joint coordination in addressing security challenges and cross-border crimes.
