Al-Hakim and Turkish Ambassador Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations


Baghdad:The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, has held discussions with the Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad, Anil Bora Inan, focusing on bilateral relations and the activation of joint agreements that would serve the interests of both nations.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim emphasized Turkey’s significant role within the regional and Islamic contexts. He advocated for efforts towards de-escalation in the region, aiming for the restoration of calm and stability to allow regional states and their populations to utilize their resources effectively.



Al-Hakim reiterated Iraq’s commitment to addressing the issue of weapons outside of state control, citing the conclusion of the International Coalition’s mission as a sign of Iraq’s recovery. He mentioned that dealing with such weapons should include all arms categorized under this issue.



Additionally, al-Hakim highlighted the significance of the “Development Road” project. He underscored the importance of capitalizing on shared interests and creating opportunities to enhance the partnership and deepen economic ties between Iraq and Turkey.
