Baghdad: The Higher Committee for Million-Person Pilgrimages announced on Tuesday the complete success of the Arbaeen pilgrimage in terms of security and services, saying the achievement provides clear evidence of the security and stability achieved in the country.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the committee expressed in a statement, "With hearts filled with grief and sorrow, as we commemorate the tragedy of the grandson of the Great Prophet, Imam Hussein (PBUH), his purified household and his noble companions, and mark the enduring Arbaeen anniversary that embodies the highest meanings of sacrifice and selflessness, we announce, by the grace and praise of Almighty Allah, the complete success of this year's blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage in terms of security and services."

It added that the Arbaeen pilgrimage has become a global event, attracting millions of visitors from both within Iraq and abroad to the sacred city of Karbala. This successful million-person pilgrimage is a testament to the security and stability achieved in Iraq, as well as the capability of the security forces and all state institutions to manage and secure these faithful gatherings with exceptional organization.

The statement further extended the committee's deepest thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to the Holy Shrines for their central role in organizing the pilgrimage, accommodating the crowds, and providing invaluable services. Appreciation was also expressed to the provincial governments and local administrations for their continuous field efforts in managing services, providing logistical support, and securing the pilgrims' routes.

The committee acknowledged the tireless work of the security forces, including military, security, federal, local, and intelligence units, in securing the roads and ensuring the pilgrims' safety. It also recognized the contributions of the engineering, service, and medical teams from various ministries and service departments, along with the personnel of the Ministry of Health, for providing the highest standard of services.

Moreover, the committee extended gratitude to the pilgrims, citizens, and owners of the Husseini processions for demonstrating generosity and selflessness.
