Baghdad: The High Commission for Human Rights – National Office recently organized a workshop titled “Drugs and Their Impact on Human Rights” for the employees of the General Company for Automobile Trade. The event aimed to educate the participants about the dangers of drugs and their effect on fundamental human rights.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop was led by trainers Ali Hussein Jawi and Rafal Salim Naji. The session focused on how drug abuse leads to violations of essential rights, including the right to life, education, and health. Additionally, the workshop provided insights into significant international and national legislation designed to combat the drug crisis.
Towards the end of the workshop, a discussion session was held to explore society’s role in addressing the drug problem. Participants expressed their appreciation for the Commission’s efforts in advancing human rights education and awareness.
