Baghdad: The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has announced the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections for the sixth session of the Council of Representatives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Judge Omar Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, stated that the elections were conducted smoothly. He emphasized that the counting and sorting processes were entirely accurate, benefiting from the use of an electronic system.

Judge Ahmed further noted that the commission’s work was conducted impartially and professionally, maintaining neutrality towards all candidates throughout the electoral process.
