Baghdad: Iraq’s National Intelligence Service-INIS said on Thursday it had arrested ‘Zaid al-Muharib,’ who is wanted in Syria on multiple extortion and defamation charges.

According to Iraqi News Agency, INIS reported the arrest of Zaid Ibrahim Ali, known as ‘Zaid Al-Muharib.’ He faces several accusations related to extortion and defamation, with multiple judicial arrest warrants issued against him.

The statement further mentioned that the arrest operation took place in Syria, in collaboration with the Syrian Arab Republic’s security authorities. After his arrest, he was transported to Iraq and handed over to the competent judicial authorities to face the charges against him.
