Hilla: An inmate serving a life sentence in Hilla Women’s Prison has died due to illness. The inmate, a resident of Baghdad Governorate, was serving time on drug trafficking charges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the inmate passed away at the prison’s health center due to complications from her illness. The police have since transferred the body to the forensic medicine department to ascertain the exact cause of death.
