Baqubah: A joint force from Diyala Police launched a security operation south of Baqubah, the provincial capital. Brigadier General Haitham Al-Shammari, Director of Media for Diyala Police, informed about the operation’s commencement.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a joint force, supported by explosives disposal units, K9, and the engineering and communications unit, has been deployed to search the villages of Al-Abbara and Al-Nahr Al-Kabir and the surrounding orchards. The operation aims to prevent terrorist groups from establishing a foothold in the area.

Brigadier General Al-Shammari emphasized that the operation is intended to enhance security and stability in the areas south of Baqubah.
