Anbar: The Integrity Commission has taken decisive action against 34 individuals accused of attempting to seize two properties in the Anbar province. The Federal Integrity Commission reported the thwarting of this attempt, which involved 40 dunams of state-owned land.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the commission’s team, based in the Anbar Investigation Office, conducted visits to several local authorities, including the Real Estate Registration and Urban Planning Directorates, the General Authority for Taxes branch in Fallujah, and the Housing Cooperative Society. Their investigations uncovered an attempt to illegally transfer ownership of two properties, originally belonging to the Ministry of Finance, through forgery.

The operation involved forging property ownership documents and registering the properties under the name of the Housing Cooperative Society. The properties were then subdivided into 336 plots, with an estimated total value of 1,831,500,000 dinars. Arrest warrants have been executed against those involved in this fraudulent scheme.

Additionally, the investigating judge handling integrity cases in Ramadi has ordered a lien on the properties to prevent any transactions. The defendants have been detained under the provisions of Article 289/298 of the Penal Code.
