Diyala: Intelligence and security forces have successfully apprehended a wanted individual on terrorism charges in Diyala. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Intelligence and Security Directorate announced the arrest of a suspect who had been evading capture for nine years. The operation was carried out by the Diyala field intelligence and security detachments, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security and the Salah al-Din Intelligence and Security Directorate.

The Directorate revealed in a press release that the suspect was detained in Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate. The arrest was the result of coordinated efforts and intelligence information that led the authorities to the fugitive, who was wanted under Article 4/Terrorism. The suspect had been living outside the area of responsibility, believing he could elude the security forces.

The intelligence and security forces highlighted the importance of high-level coordination and meticulous follow-up in capturing the suspect. This arrest underscores the continued efforts of security forces to apprehend individuals involved in terrorism and maintain safety and security in the region.
